The e6ae are the motors from the 86 mustang and had pistons with out valve reliefs in them. The e6ae motors didn't have e7 heads they had e6 heads that are junk. I had a set of aluminum heads on a 5.0L once, brand unknown, but I bought plugs for what type of car it was and they were the short threads. I ordered them for a Cobra 5.0L motor, and I got the deeper threaded ones. You will have to order them for a Cobra. •••
WebFeb 24, 2012 · The D8s and E7s are regular "production" heads. The GT40P is an anomoly, being a designation used for both production and aftermarket performance heads. The only difference in later (post '77) 302 and 351W heads are the bolt holes. The 351 uses 1/2" head bolts, where 302 uses 7/16. A 1/2" reamer will make a 302 head a 351 head...
