Web22 Dec 07 - I saw this scale model of the Glaser-Dirks DG-1000-18/20 two-seat sailplane in a local model shop and had to have it. It has such graceful lines and will look superb on the slope. The full size has a basic 18m wing, but tip extensions with winglets can be fitted taking it up to 20m. WebJul 31, 2014 · I agree 100%. I used to have a Fly Fly DG1000 2.6 meter glider, compared to the ASW28 it was a pig. Probably a bit unfair, it actually flew very well provided the speed was kept in check.
