WebbI have the same toilet mechanism and the same problem I think. In my case the float sticks at both the top and bottom sometimes due to limescale - sometimes it keeps overflowing after filling up after flushing and sometimes it doesn't full up at all. If on reflection, this matches your problem, you may be able to fix it by removing the limescale.
